Birds and Bugs

Birds and Bugs is a nonfiction picture book that shows birds and bugs on land and in the sky. Each page presents one more bird or bug than the previous page; thus, a mathematical pattern of adding one each time is shown.

Photographs support the text and show different birds and bugs. A numeral and a word give the number of bugs or birds in each photograph.

One syllable words, birds and bugs, are repeated beneath each image. The numbers 1-9 are used as well. The words birds and bugs are found with corresponding images in the Words to Know list.
