Bee Sting
Bee Sting! is a humorous and realistic fiction story about a boy, Ben, watching his dad work around a beehive to collect honey. Ben was really excited about the honey until a bee stung him on the eye! Ben’s face became really sore and swelled up. Mum brought Ben to the doctors, and he eventually returned home to his family and friends. The story is narrated with dialogue, songs, and onomatopoeia.
Bee Sting! is a simple narrative story. Critical thinking questions are provided to guide the reader. Illustrations match the text. A visual information guide is provided for teachers to draw students’ attention to the illustrative text, change in font styles, information, layout, and design.
